We are a cycle friendly business, in fact we love the sport, so much so we have specially tailored our lodges to cater for the cyclist, and provide excellent cycle friendly accommodation each of our lodges are a great base to enjoy a cycling holiday in North Yorkshire, so whether you are a keen road bike enthusiast, or prefer the off the road thrill of mountain biking, we have some of the best roads and tracks right on our doorstep and our lodges will be the perfect setting for your holiday or break.
One of our lodges is specifically tailored to cater for the cyclist, here you can find the following bike specific equipment:
If you are interested in hiring E-Bikes whilst staying with us, we can direct you to the right place, we have contacts with specialists in Pickering and Dalby who will be able to hire you bikes for 1 hour, 3 hours or a full day, depending on your needs.
Both on-road and off-road E-Bikes are available to hire.
We offer guided E-bike tours, with an experienced cyclist who has over 20 years of cycling experience in local off road cycling routes from beginners to more challenging red and black routes.
E-Bikes have come a long way over the years, stronger motors and a better battery life for on-road and off-road cycling. The off road machines are great fun all year around any riding conditions, they really come into their own on boggy mud terrain and will power through anything, especially in turbo mode.
We even offer a bikers package which includes locally sourced flapjack, a good selection of local beers and prosseco for the girls
Cycling has been a big part of our lives for the past 20 years, our boys also love the sport both on road and off road. We try to get out once a week, usually off road in the winter. Over the past few years night lighting has massively improved with the help of LEDS and better battery technology. All within 20 minute drive of our cycle friendly accommodation are some really good off road routes to do at night, if you are like me and love the extra edge night riding offers, we are happy to recommend some routes including Dalby Red Route which can be accessed 24/7
